Take Time To Reflect

In the accounts of the New Testament, Jesus spent 40 days in the desert, fasting and resisting temptation before he began of his public ministry. For Christians today, Lent is a time for personal reflection as we struggle with the bad habits we have acquired and practised during the past year. It gives us the chance to break these habits and think about what God wants from us. We are encouraged to make peace, receive forgiveness and exercise compassion. Lent offers a wonderful opportunity to spring clean our lives and hear the words of Jesus: “turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel.”
